Gintos beat Tobacco Road United 2-0 in the Gambia Football Association Third Division qualifiers on Monday at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
Modou Danso and substitute Muhammed Kuyateh scored for Gintos.
The victory has ensured a second for the Bakoteh boys who went unbeaten and so far leading in two matches of the playoffs following the postponement of their other game against Starlight on Friday 2 March 2012. They beat Nema United 1-0 in the opening.
Opponents Tobacco Road are currently standing on a single point following a 2-2 draw with Gunjur United earlier.
Pa Modou Camara fired Starlight ahead to beat fellow contenders Nema United 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium on Monday to give them their first 3 points in the qualifiers after failing to play their first game in the fixtures.
Nema, who have now lost two matches in a row, are now faced with the prospects of being one of the causalities of the tournament.
But with two more matches to go against Gunjur United and Tobacco Road, the Nema boys will have to pull the trigger to be part of the two lucky teams that will make it to the second division with slim chances.
With a few more matches to play, Starlight will face Tobacco Road United at the KG5 Mini-stadium in
On Tuesday 12 March, Tobacco Road United face Nema at the KG5 Mini-stadium while Starlight Football Club take on Gunjur United at the Serekunda East Mini-stadium.
A date will be given for the two other postponed matches initially billed for Friday, 2 March.
The top two teams from the five at the end of the qualifiers will join eight other teams to contest the 2012 edition of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) second division league campaign.
