A man was paraded on 10 November 2015 before Magistrate Bojang at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.
Modou Samura was alleged to have fraudulently diverted the sum of D76,000 (1,500 Euros), being the property of one Amadou Bah on 3 November 2015, at the Serrekunda Market in the Kanifing Municipality.
He denied any wrongdoing.
However, he was granted bail with a Gambian surety, who should deposit a title deed with the registrar of the court, and also to swear to an affidavit of means.
Prosecutor 1542 Mendy presented the bill of indictment before the court.
The case will be heard on 18 November 2015.
