Ousman Sanyang, a young Gambian wheelchair tennis star has been invited by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), to partake in the upcoming tennis championship in Johannesburg, South Africa in September.

Phillip Akibogun, the Secretary-General of the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association, confirmed this story to Pointsport at the team's training ground at the Independence Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The championship, according to Ousman Sanyang, aka Mana, who could not make it to the same championship in Johannesburg in 2007, due to late preparation, is meant to encourage wheelchair tennis players in a bid to help expose them to the higher standards.

The 16-year-old Bakau born young tennis player further expressed confidence of achieving the desired result when the championship gets underway in two months time.
