Tennis Association Prepares For Zone II

The Gambia Lawn Tennis Association is currently undergoing an intensive training session as part of preparations for the forthcoming African Confederation Tennis Championship, scheduled to take place in Dakar later this month.

The Gambia Lawn Tennis Association will leave the country to take part in Zone II Tennis Championship later this month.

The 4-day tennis tournament which is expected to take place in Dakar, according to the President of the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association, Sheriff Jammeh will include only four [4] players from the U-13 category, including both the male and female participants who have since started an intensive training sessions, ahead of the Dakar championship.

The tournament which is expected to attract only the Zone II teams, Mr Jammeh believes will give his boys the opportunity to expose themselves in future international tennis championship.

This tournament will avail the young players the opportunity to build-up a career and to help them prepare themselves better for bigger challenges.

The Gambia Lawn Tennis Association is also preparing to take part in the upcoming July 22nd activities.
