The
Super Stars Academy of Ebo Town on Monday March 2, 2020 began its annual
screening (trials) process at QCity football complex in Bigilo for youth aged
18 and 19.
The
trial is being graced by 10 scouts from European countries to lure talented
youth for their respective clubs.
The
trial brought together four teams: Super Stars A and B, Super Stars of Senegal
and Greater Tomorrow of Brikama.
Super
Stars A lose to Grater Tomorrow 3-2 in the opening game while Super Stars B
beat Super Stars of Senegal by a goal to nil.
Vice
president of the academy Abdurrahman Bah said the trial is to give young
talented players a chance to showcase their talent and have the opportunity to
be scouted by European clubs.
He
added that some of the scouts present include scouts from Monaco, Mecca bi
Haifa, SK Lommel, among others.
Seedy
Jobe, a former Senegalese professional and now coach of Super Stars of Senegal
said he is delighted to be part of this year’s trail.
He
noted that the important thing in the trials is the performance of players.
Izhar
Kishon an agent from Maccabi Haifa of Israel said he saw a lot of quality
players in the games played.
