Standard Chartered Bank donated a total of 500 bed nets and 200 bed sheets to 5 Hospitals across the country.
This gesture was made by the Bank to promote health care and the prevention of malaria in The Gambia.
In delivering the items to the hospitals, Olimatou Damel Faal, Corporate Affairs Officer said: “Standard Chartered Bank is very passionate about the development of health care in The Gambia.
The Bank is dedicated to reinforcing our brand promise of being ‘Here for Good’ by giving back to the communities in which we operate”.
Senior Nursing Officer in charge of Serekunda Health Center, Madam Ndey T. Ceesay, commended the Bank for the donation. She added that the donation is timely as Serekunda Health Center is located in a densely populated area and sees high cases of malaria.
On her part, Mrs. Nyabally, Chairperson of the RVTH Donation Committee, in receiving the donation on behalf of the Chief Medical Director of RVTH, thanked SCB for the support the Bank has continued to render to the hospital all these years.
