Sports officials to embark on national sensitization tour on wrestling
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the National Sports Council and the Gambia Wrestling Association, will today embark on a nationwide wrestling tour meant for sensitization purpose.
The seven-day tour is expected to end on 21 March 2013 and meetings will be held at every region at 11.00am.
The regional governors, mayors, chiefs, regional sports coordinators and regional stakeholders are therefore notified by the National Sports Council (NSC) on the Countrywide Sensitization Tour on Wrestling, which is a national and traditional sport.
The tour shall begin at the North Bank and is expected to end in KMC
A press release from the NSC has assured the general public that soon wrestling in The Gambia will be of high value and contested all over the country.
