Gambia
Football Federation (GFF) president Lamin Kabba Bajo has had an interface with
the President of Spanish FA, Luis Manuel Rubiales Bejar, who saluted Mr Bajo
for his Federation’s giant strides in sports development in The Gambia. Both
Presidents had fruitful discussions on Football growth and development.
Mr
Bajo and his third-vice president, General Lang Tombong Tamba were in Jeddah at
the invitation of the Saudi Football Association as guests for the much coveted
final and attended the Spanish Super Cup between champions Real Madrid and
rivals Athletico Madrid.
Ahead
of the final and on the match day sidelines, the GFF officials were at hand to
discuss with their hosts on matters of football concerns for the mutual benefit
of both sides.
Kaba
earlier had discussion with Spanish FF Director of International Relations,
Jorge Mowinckel Sagnier which, according to Mr Bajo centred on the possibility
of establishing a bilateral cooperation between the two Federations for the
development of the game.
“He
promised that they will be willing to assist us in our development objectives.
We agreed to meet later to further discuss the matter,” Mr Bajo revealed.
Mr
Bajo was later presented with a Spanish Red Jersey by his counterpart Luis
Manuel Rubiales Bejar.
Mr
Bajo and Gen Tamba have earlier visited Scorpions rear guard Modou Jobe at his
Jeddah FC training ground in the Saudi Premier League.
