Sotokoi’s annual Nawetan is set to get under way tomorrow Friday 19 September 2014 at the Sotokoi football field beginning at 4.30pm.
The much-awaited opening game will feature the defending champions Yaay Borom FC and Kolley FC. The game has been described by football admirers in Sotokoi and environs as a mouth-watering clash.
The opening game is expected to attract hundreds of spectators in the Kombo East district and satellite areas to the weekend clash between the two local football power-houses, Yaay Borom FC and Kolley FC.
Yaay Borom FC clinched the village’s annual summer football fiesta last season, and will be coming all out for a win against Kolley FC tomorrow, to snatch the vital points and keep its hopes of retaining the 2013-2014 Nawetan league title.
Kolley FC will also be hoping for victory against the defending champions, Yaay Borom FC, to keep their title hopes alive.
The Nawetan was organized by Sotokoi Sports Committee to promote, nurture, groom and develop young talents in Sotokoi and environs.
