In 1977, the General Assembly called for the annual observance of 29 November as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
As we mark this day, we call on the international community to continue to provide support to the people of Palestine.
We also call on the Israeli government to respect the rights of the people of Palestine.
The people of Palestine, especially women and children, have suffered a lot and it is time for them to enjoy their freedom.
There must be opening of the crossings and facilitating the movement of people and transfer of goods within the Gaza Strip.
The world must stand in solidarity with the government and people of Palestine to end their suffering.
The attitudes of certain big powers towards the innocent people of Palestine must also be condemned.
There is no winner in any conflict or war, thus the need to promote peace and stability in Palestine and the globe as a whole.
There cannot be any meaningful development without peace, which is lacking in the Gaza Strip.
