Soccer FC have been crowned champions of the 2011-2012 Brikama League following their 5-4 post-match penalty shootout win over Gacem FC.
Both sides drew 1-all in regulation time in the final game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium on Friday.
Soccer FC’s Fa Bakary Sanyang and Foday Sarr of Gacem in the 60th and 61st minutes netted both goals in the deadlock game, which resulted in penalty kicks.
A D20,000 reward went to Soccer FC as league champions, while Gacem went home with D15,000.
Both teams received medals and certificates as part of the colourful final.
