Serrekunda United will today rub shoulders with Bakau United in a battle for survival in the First-Eco Partners-sponsored Gambia Football Federation division one league next season, Wednesday 20 May 2015, at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
The Serrekunda-based outfit are one place above relegation zone with 18 points in twenty games and will be fighting for a win against the Bakau-based outfit to grab the maximum three points in order to stay in the top flight next season.
Bakau United are flagging at the bottom with 15 points in twenty games three points behind the Serrekunda-based outfit.
They will also be contesting for a victory in order to fancy their chances of staying in the premier tier next season.
Gambia Armed Forces will meet Bombada at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Gambia Armed Forces and Bombada are mid-table with 28 points each in twenty games and both will be playing for pride.
Banjul United will play against Gamtel at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium. The city-boys are mid-table with 24 points in twenty games and will be expecting a win against telecommunication giants in order to improve their position in the league.
Telecommunication giants are second place in the league with 41 points in twenty games and will be striving for a victory against the city-boys to snatch the vital three points to mount pressure on league leaders Real De Banjul.
Elsewhere, Hawks will battle it out with Wallidan in the all-Banjul derby clash in the other week twenty-one fixtures at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Hawks are three places above relegation zone with 24 points in twenty games and will be hoping to recover against Wallidan in the all-Banjul derby game after losing to Gamtel 1-0 in their week twenty fixtures to secure good position in the league.
Wallidan are two places above relegation zone with 19 points in twenty games and will be looking for a win against Hawks in order to improve their position in the league.
