Serrekunda East Sports Committee on Wednesday presented certificates of appreciation to Global Properties and Banjul Breweries Limited for their exemplary support and boost to the committee’s Nawettan and clubs.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the presentation, Saihou Bah, 1st vice president of the Serrekunda East Sports Committee, thanked Global Properties for their wonderful job in sponsoring their Nawettan and for giving out jerseys and finances to clubs.
This has been the third year since they have been sponsoring the Serrekunda East Sports Committee Nawettan, he said, calling on the two institutions to keep up “the good and wonderful job”.
They are the first committee to be sponsored by the Global Properties, Mr Bah said, thanking the management and staff of Global Properties for their show of “true” corporate social responsibility.
Baboucarr Njie, media officer of Serrekunda East Committee, also commended Global Properties, saying the estate agency also gives the Committee and players jerseys.
This support by Global Properties is the first time in the history of the Nawettan that the champions have received D30, 000 and the runners-up went home with D20, 000.
He rated Global Properties one of the best companies in terms of sponsoring sport and other national programmes.
Jerreh Jatta, Business Development Manager of Global Properties, thanked the Committee for their appreciation showing them that they really cherish their sponsorship.
They would continue to be with them and also open their doors to them because they deserved it, Jatta said.
Banjul Breweries also received the same gesture of appreciation for their support and commitment to the Serrekunda East Sports Committee.
Fatou Sinyan Mergan, Director of Finance and Administration of Banjul Breweries, received the certificate of appreciation on behalf of her institution.
Mrs Sinyan Mergan said it is a good thing for them to know they had been appreciated by the Serrekunda East Sports Committee.
Their doors are always open to the Committee any time they come to Banjul Breweries, she said.
Borreh Darboe, marketing manager of Banjul Breweries, advised the Committee to continue to join hands with his company for good.
