Armed Forces defeat Samger in GFA 1st division league

Armed Forces on Saturday beat academy boys Samger 1-0 in the Week 15 fixtures in the 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association (GFA) division one league played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Kabba Jobe’s 25th-minute strike was enough to a narrow win and also earned Armed Forces the maximum points at the expense of Samger.

Bakau giant killers Steve Biko beat Bakau United on the same score line in the all-Bakau derby game played at the Independence Stadium.

Elsewhere, Real De Banjul also defeated Gambia Ports Authority on the same score line in the all-Banjul derby game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.

GPA are still leading the table with 23 points in fifteen games, while Armed Forces and Samger both have bagged 22 points in fifteen games each.

Real De Banjul and Steve Biko have collected 20 points in fifteen games each, while Bakau United have collected 18 points in fifteen games.
