Sifoe United rejuvenate Lead in West Coast Region 3rd Division League

Sifoe United have extended their lead in the 2014 West Coast Region third division league after thumping New Yundum 2-0 in the week-two fixtures played at the Sifoe Football Field on Saturday.

Sifoe United were held to a goalless draw by Kombo Kerewan United in the week-one fixtures. Kombo Kerewan came out strong and mounted heavy pressure on New Yundum.

Sifoe United opened the score through striker Ousman Jarjue in the 67th minute of the game to give his side the lead, before Ousman Jarjue sealed the victory in the 72nd minute of the game to earn Sifoe United a convincing win over Yundum as well as completing his brace.

Busumbala United beat Kombo Kerewan 1-0 in the all-Kombo North derby game at the Farato Football Field, while Foni Berefet drew 1-1 with Nema United in other week-two fixture game played at the Bulock Football Field the same day.

The victory has earned Sifoe United 4 points in two games. Busumbala United are with 3 points in one outing with a game in hand against Brikama.

Foni Berefet and Kombo Kerewan are with 1 point each in two games, while New Yundum are rooted at the bottom with zero points in one game with a game against Brufut United.
