A six-year-old boy, Momodou Kuyateh, a resident of Kerr Sering is in dire need of overseas treatment.
According to the medical report from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), the small boy has a history of cardiovascular disease and was hospitalised at RVTH, due to heart failure and pneumonia on 7 August 2009. He was treated with cefriaxone digox and divretic.
The report further recommended overseas management and treatment because the facility is is not available in The Gambia.
Speaking to our reporter last Monday, the brother to Momodou Kuyateh., Alhagie Samura, appealed to NGOs, philanthropists, government, companies and any generous person to come to the aid of little Momodou.
Mr. Samura also told our reporter that the small boy is young and the disease can be cured or prevented if he has the chance to go for further treatment, while soliciting both moral and financial support.
