Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Public Relations Officer of Sifoe Youth and Sports Committee, Victor F. Sambou, said the players were decorated with certificates after retaining Kombo South District football tournament title in early 2013.
He added that the team also played in the West Coast Region third division qualifiers but lost to Farato United FC and Gunjur United FC 4-2 and 5-4 on penalties in 2010 and 2011, after a goalless draw in the regulation time and were eliminated in the first round of the 2012-2013 West Coast Region third division qualifiers.
PRO Sambou commended the referees and all those who contributed towards the success of the 2013 Sifoe Noran football tournament, whose trophy was clinched by Sateba United FC after defeating Ecomong FC in a tightly contested final game courtesy of Ebou Mendy.
He said their committee came into office in 2010 with the main objective of promoting and developing sport in the village, which to a large extent has been achieved.
