Assan Bangura, a Sierra Leonean national was recently convicted and sentenced by the Brikama Magistrates' Court to six months in prison for a theft charge.
He was said to have stolen a motor cycle with a registration number MC5089 BJL Mark Hexagon, valued at D35, 000, being the property of one Musa Ceesay.
According to the facts as narrated by the Police Prosecutor, 2294 Lamin Jammeh, it happened on 30th October 2009, at Brikama Hawlakunda.
He narrated that the accused went into the complainant's workshop and therein stole one of his motor cycles that were parked behind the workshop.
He said the matter was reported to the Brikama Police.
He added that the investigation was mounted and the motor bike was recovered from the accused person, and subsequently arrested and taken to Brikama Police Station, where he was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
