The Sierra Leone Beauty Pageant 2012, an annual event being conducted in The Gambia, takes place tomorrow 16 June 2012 at the former Jerma Beach Hotel in Kololi.

Proudly organised by the Sierra Leonean community in The Gambia, the event is also sponsored by the national GSM operator Gamcel.

The Point Entertainment was informed by the chief organizer Chairman Kally Gifted that everything has been finalised to stage the event tomorrow and thirteen beauty queens are up for the gallery and will parade to display their wonderful and sparkling looks Sierra Leoneans are known for.

He added that among the beauty crew, the most outstanding one will surely carry the day as she will be wearing the first winner crown for this year’s pageantry.

Gifted also said the purpose of the beauty pageant is to raise funds to help Sierra Leonean-going school kids in The Gambia as a form of school sponsorship.

Last year’s proceeds were used to help Sierra Leonean kids in The Gambia in tandem with Sierra Leone’s 50th independence anniversary.

According to Gifted, last year’s event was held at Jama Hall of the Kairaba Beach Hotel with many people in attendance.

This time again, he is calling on all and sundry to come en mass to patronize and support the event.

Gifted said they the organizers of the event and the Sierra Leonean community in The Gambia thank and commend Gamcel profoundly for sponsoring the event. They promise to always stay on with Gamcel line, patronise and promote the national GSM company’s activities in the country.
