The government of Guinea-Bissau decreed national mourning for 7 days in consideration of the tragic death of His Excellency Joao Bernardo Vieira, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, which occurred on Monday 2nd February 2009.
According to press release from the Embassy of Guinea-Bissau in The Gambia, there will be signing of the condolence book to this regard, at the chancellery, 78 Atlantic Road, Fajara in Bakau from today, 4th to Friday 6th March 2009.
The release added that the Embassy would like to inform the Department of State for Foreign Affairs of The Gambia, members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, Guinea-Bissau community in The Gambia and the general public of the signing.
