Setback in NDEA officers’ murder case

The murder case involving two former officers of the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA), namely Edrissa Jarju and Edrissa Jaiteh, could not proceed yesterday at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

The case was then adjourned till 15 January 2013,

The case has so far heard the testimony of several prosecution witnesses, including officers of the NDEA and the police.

The prosecution also tendered several exhibits in support of their case.

It would be recalled that the accused persons were alleged to have caused the death of one Abdourahman Barry, by beating him while in custody at the Manjai Kunda Police Station.
