Serekunda Man Back in Court

Alieu Bojang of Serrekunda who was previously sentenced to 18 months imprisonment by the  Kanifing Magistrate's court for stealing, was again on Thursday 20th November 2008 appeared in court for the same offence before Magistrate Pa harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates court for shop breaking and stealing contrary to section 283 and section 252 of the criminal code cap 10 vol. III laws of Gambia.

Count 1, the particulars of the offence states that the accused Alieu Bojang on or about 10th November 2008 at the Brikama market, broke into a workshop of one Alagie Bah and Saraba Suso. He pleaded guilty.

Count 2, the accused on the same day ,at the same workshop stole the following items  45 pairs of plastic shoes valued D7, 000, two sewing machines valued D1, 800, one mobile phone value D2, 000, one musical set value not known, Scissors valued D200 bundle of clothes value D10, 000 the total value (25,000) twenty five thousand Dalasis. He pleaded guilty to the charge against him.

He was later convicted and sentenced to serve 2 years imprisonment with hard labour.
