Senegalese Minister of Interior Meets President Jammeh

A special envoy of President Abdoulie Wade, Cheikh Tidiane Sy Senior Senegalese Minister of Interior yesterday paid a courtesy call on President Jammeh at State House.

Shortly after his meeting with the Gambian leader, Sy told reporters that his discussion with President Jammeh centered on bilateral co-operation between the two countries. He said the cordial bilateral tie between the two countries is based on friendship, honesty and commitment to the developmental aspirations of the two countries and the continent as a whole.

He used the opportunity to commend president Jammeh for promoting peace in the  sub-region and the continent as a whole.

He said he was sent by President Wade to deliver a special message to his brother and friend, President Jammeh.

Commenting on the issue of Guinea Bissau, he said the situation in Guinea Bissau is a concern to the two head of state and there is a process of brining peace and stability in Bissau and the Sub region.
