Several credible sources within the regional and club official circles told The Point yesterday that they will send Mr Kinteh’s name as their nominee for the June 29 election.
“This decision was made after consultations among the regional football stakeholders and some divisional league clubs,’’ a football official preferring anonymity told The Point.
According to him, Mr Kinteh achieved more medals in Gambian football than any other person, and deserves another chance.
Contacted to talk on his possible candidature, Mr Kinteh said he is not in position to comment as he is not even fully aware of calls for him to come back.
This paper would however get back to Mr Kinteh in subsequent editions, as the process gathers momentum, for his reaction.
