Senegalese media on Tuesday reported that Sedia Bayo, a France-based Gambian opposition figure, was expelled Monday night by a Senegalese court order.
Bayo left Monday night with Air France on a one-way ticket bought by the court.
Bayo, a Gambian by descent born in France, was detained at the police station in the vicinity around the port in Dakar since January 1, 2015, for expressing support for the December 30th attack at the State House in Banjul and for making remarks attacking the Government of The Gambia.
Before he was finally airlifted to France, Bayo was on hunger strike at the place of detention.
