As part of raising funds for charity, the Scorpions will take on a Super Nawettan selection today at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium.
The encounter is part of two charity matches initiated by
members of the Scorpions currently in
Their second fundraising game will be against the U-17 team on Friday December 26that the Brikama Mini-Stadium.
Seedy MB Kinteh, President of The Gambia Football Association, said the charity games are an idea conceived by the national players.
"The players expressed their happiness with the running of the Super Nawettan and the need to stage these matches. The proceeds realised will be made available for donations," the GFA boss explained.
According to the GFA Prexy, professional players like Tijan Jaiteh, Aziz Corr Njie, Pa Modou Jagne among others, except the Ebou Sillah, captain of the national team, Edirissa Sonko and Musa Bajaha, will take part in the charity game.
He appealed to the general public to come forward and support their national players.
"Tickets for both games will be sold at D25 and D15 only," he stated.
