he 2011 Kombo South District Football Tournament final is slated for tomorrow at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field between Sanyang and Sifoe.
The much-anticipated final is expected to be a mouth-watering clash as it will feature the two heavyweights in the district.
Sanyang won the Kombo South district tournament title in 2000 after thrashing Kartong 2-0 in the final courtesy of Sang Sarr and Omar Sanyang respective goals.
Sifoe have never won the Kombo South district tournament title and this is their first appearance in the final of the tournament.
Sanyang progressed to the final after beating Gunjur 2-1 in the semi-final courtesy of Buba Bojang and Abdou Bojang (alias Sula), while Sifoe advanced to the final after defeating Tujereng on the score-line in the other semi-final with goals from Abdou Joof and Bekai Touray respectively.
The tournament is organised by Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSDSC) to foster unity and understanding among the youths of Kombo South as well as to nurture, promote and develop young talented footballers in the district.
