Gambian international Sanna Nyassi is part of Montreal Impact’s 25-man roster currently in a post-season training camp, which started on Wednesday afternoon in Italy at the Bolonga FC training grounds. The team in the first of two friendly games, in Italy, lost 1-0 to Bologna Thursday evening in a game that was never really in doubt.
With an important forthcoming game on Sunday, and Bologna fighting to stay in Serie A, head coach Stefano Pioli played a mostly second string side against the Impact, but the Italians nevertheless still managed to dominate the game, according to goal.com.
Thursday evening’s encounter at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium between the two sides was more than just a friendly match - it provided one final opportunity for the local fans to salute their former captain Marco Di Vaio.
Immediately following the game, the Impact left Bologna for Florence where they will see out the rest of their post-season training camp until November 17.
Club president Joey Saputo is expected to join the team at some point, in the next few days. goal.com
