Robbery case adjourned

The robbery case involving one Gibby Sey could not proceed at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

When the case was called, the accused person entered into the dock, and the prosecution witness also entered the witness box.

However, the defence counsel from the Legal Aid applied for an adjournment on the grounds that she was just served with the document which she had earlier requested for so that she could further cross-examine the fourth prosecution witness (PW4).

Counsel, at that juncture, told the court she needed time to study the document properly so she could effectively cross-examine the witness.

The application was upheld and the case was adjourned till 4 March 2013, for the continuation of cross-examination of PW4.
