Registration opens for Brufut Marathon contenders

Registration of athletes for the 16th edition of the annual international Brufut Marathon Run has commenced.

The event, billed for December 18, 2010 in Brufut, has set aside a registration fee of D50.00 for individual runners.

According to the Brufut Marathon Committee, the last date for registration is 17 December 2010 at 9pm prompt, adding that no registration will be done on the day of the run in order to start at 9am and on time.

Ahead of the event, participants have been strongly urged by the organisers to be at the starting points at the traffic lights on

Fabulous prizes await winners and all participants will be qualified to partake in the raffle for a bag of rice.

The following registration points have been identified:

1. Brikama FMB, with Big Sam

2. Bottrop Senior Secondary School, with Mr Mendy

3. The Point newspaper, Bakau, with Sainabou Kujabi

4. Teranga F.m, with BB

5. Brufut Lower Basic School, with Alieu Jallow and Ousman Sanneh

6. Solifo Investment in Brusubi, with Ba S. Jabbi

7. The Gambia College, Brikama Campus, with Alieu Jarju

Cyclists can register with Eliman Jammeh of the Gambia Cycling Association.
