The tournament is organised by Yaya Peace Sowe, a journalist, in the memory of late Pa Jobe Jassey, a former player of Solifo Investment FC, who passed away in 2003.
According to the organiser, seven teams have shown their interest in participating in the annual football championship namely, QPR, World Star, Young Steve Biko, Kajabang Academy, Barcelona of Jabang Kunda, Athletic de Madina and Asselem United.
Sowe added that registration is open to all teams, and he seized the opportunity to call on other interested teams to come forward and register for the annual championship meant to groom young talents in Gunjur and environs.
