Region Two holds athletics heat

Last year’s inter-regional athletics champions Region Two held their annual athletics championship heat in Brikama recently, as part of preparations for the annual inter-regional championship final slated for 18 February 2011, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The annual athletics heat, which brought together athletes from lower basic schools in Region Two, was meant to scout for good athletes that will represent the region in the forthcoming inter-regional athletics competition slated for the Independence Day.

Region Two are the champions of the annual inter-regional athletics championship last year and they will be hoping to retain the title for the second year in succession.
