The Gambia Football Association women's league outfit, Red Scorpions, will leave Banjul today for Senegal for an international friendly with ASC Sirene of Dakar.

Team Coach Chorro Mbenga said the side will travel with 18 players and 7 officers and the friendly international is set for July 30th to August 2nd.

She said the invitation is in line with ASC Sirene's 23rd anniversary, and since both sides have had closer ties for more than 15 years, they will be penning an MOU during the visit.

"Everything is all about women?s football and how to develop the game and to make the words of FIFA President Joseph Sepp Blatter, who said "the future of football is feminine", to be a reality to everyone. When he was saying that people were laughing, but its true," coach Mbenga stated.
