Real are in Setif for next Friday’s CAF Champions League return leg tie against the African champions, ESSétif.
The match on April 3rd will be played at the 25,000-capacity Stade 8 Mai 1945 at 19:30 GMT (8:30pm Algerian time).
The team is currently lodged at a very comfortable and top standard hotel, which head coach Alhaji Amat Cham said reciprocates what Real offered to their hosts in Banjul, three weeks ago.
“We are happy with the way they welcomed us and are very OK here as everything is going on fine for now. We thank them very much for this, but I believe we also offered them a good service back home.”
The team’s first training session will be held tomorrow, Monday at 11:00am local time (10:00GMT), though the coach added that he is yet to know the exact location for the team’s training grounds; but insisted no matter what happens, the boys will undergo their first session.
Technical director Franky Van De Velde, meanwhile, used the opportunity to thank the Secretary General of the ESSétif youth team, Derradji Fethi, who was at Algiers airport to meet the contingent and escort them to Sétif.
