Real de Banjul hosts Young Barrack Controllers in CAF Champions league

The Gambia’s league champions Real de Banjul will face Liberian league champions Young Barrack Controllers in the first-leg tie of the 2015 CAF African champions league preliminaries, tomorrow Saturday 14 February 2015 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at 4.30pm.

Real will be playing for a convincing win against the Liberian champions to boost their hopes of qualifying for the second round, as well as keeping open the chances of making it to the group stage.

The visitors will be expecting a positive result against Gambian champions tomorrow, and to finish job in the second-leg in Monrovia, in a forthnight’s time to advance to the second round.

Real was formed in 1967 in Banjul; are currently playing in the country’s premier tier; and have won 12 league titles, several FA cup and Super cup titles.

Young Barrack Controllers was formed in Monrovia in 1997; are currently playing in Liberia’s top flight; and have won two league titles and FA cup titles.
