The
draw for Real De Banjul fifty-year anniversary celebration football tournament
was held yesterday at the Oasis Apartments in Senegambia.
Twelve
teams, divided into four groups of three teams, are set to compete for the
tournament.
The
draw for the tournament is as follows:
Group
A comprises Real De Banjul, Olympique De Ngor of Senegal and FC Nouadhibou of
Mauritania.
Group
B consists of Wallidan, Guediawaye of Senegal and Cassa Sport of Senegal.
Group
C is made up of Super Nawettan champions, Generation Foot of Senegal and Horoya
of Guinea Conakry.
Group
D consists of Super Nawettan Runners up, Ifeanyi Ubah of Nigeria and ASC Niary
Tally of Senegal.
Ebou
Faye, the second vice president of the Gambia Football Federation and former
coach of Real De Banjul, said twelve teams are set to participate in the
tournament five teams from Senegal, one from Mauritania, one Guinea Conakry and
from one from Nigeria.
Faye
added that the 2016 Super champions and runners-up are expected to take part in
the tournament set to kick off 29 October through 6 November 2016, at the
Independence Stadium in Bakau.
