A trial on rash and negligent act causing death involving one Sainey Nyang was recently adjourned before Principal Magistrate Ibrahim Kijera of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.
When the case was called, the prosecuting officer applied for an adjournment on the grounds that his last witness had travelled to Dakar.
Defence counsel Kebba Sanyang did not raise any objection to the prosecution’s application but pointed out that the prosecutor on the last adjournment date, said his witness was in Barra and now said the witness had travelled to Dakar.
“I will not object since this will be his last application for adjournment in this case,” counsel said.
The case was then adjourned till a later date.
