QCell, one of the leading GSM service providers in The Gambia, is to launch Mobile Money Service today, Tuesday, at its head office at Kairaba Avenue.
The company said the service will be operated in partnership with “major financial institutions” in the country.
Qodoo – the brand name of QCell mobile money service – will be officially launched by the company’s Chief Executive Officer Muhammed Jah.
The service will give QCell subscribers the flexibility to use their phones to send and receive money, buy QCell credit, buy QPower, pay bills and many more, the company said in a statement.
“QCell, as pioneer in information technology and product innovation, has worked tirelessly on this product in order to give our customers financial flexibility,” the company added.
It said the launching of Qodoo will make it “the first of its kind” that such a product is introduced in the Gambian market.
“This product will be beneficial to the daily lives of Gambians,” the company said.
