The Commercial Manager of Qcell, Mr. Lamin Yaffa has recently disclosed to this reporter that Qcell is indeed committed to reducing poverty in the country.
This, according to Yaffa, is manifested during the ongiong 2009 Gambia Trade Fair, where Q-group- a combination of Qcell, Quatuanet digital, Espace motors, and QuantumNet
Qcell Commercial Manager made this revelation on Tuesday evening during a chat with our trade fair-based reporter, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
"The Q-group everyday do have a product of the day, this product of the day is meant to make their valuable customers feel that with Qcell there is change," he said.
According to him, they also have new products on display at the trade fair, noting that discount will run until the end of trade fair, while calling on their customers to maintain the momentum.
Mr.Yaffa also said that Qcell is also here to provide employment opportunities for the Gambian youths so as to help them realise their full potential.
On his opinion about the trade fair, he replied "This is the first trade fair Qcell is attending." He was quick to add that this is the way the Gambian businesses can be seen on display, and thanked the organisers for their foresight in organising such a forum.
Qcell, he maintained, is purely Gambian and in fact a home-grown telecom giant, who were the first to introduce 3G network in The Gambia.
