The 2010-2011 league runners-up Qcell FC lost surprisingly to the Gunjur Nawetan Kulukochi United FC 2-1 in the group B game of the 2010-2012 Gunjur Nawettan championship at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Saturday.
Both sides came into the game after winning their previous games. QCell FC beat Passamai FC 2-1 in their group B opening game and Kuluckochi United FC, on the other hand, won their two opening games in the new Nawettan and they stand a better chance of making it to the quarterfinal.
QCell FC opened the scoring in the early part of the first period and Kulukochi United FC levelled the tally before breaking the first period and they grabbed their winning goal in the dying minute of the game to snatch their second successive victory in a row.
Lanuja FC maintained their superb run of form in the Nawettan after thrashing Jannehkoto FC 2-0 in group C on Monday, Gunjur Link Committee FC registered their first victory in the championship after beating struggling Sambouyang FC 1-0 in group A on Friday, whilst Nyokoyor FC thrashed Happy Gunjur FC in group B on Thursday.
