Ebrima Manneh, the Head Coach of Interior FC, was full of praise for his team for what he called their hard work and commitment during the 2008-9 GFA second division league which earned his side promotion to GFA first division league next season.
Coach Manneh made these remarks last Thursday shortly after his side 1-1draw with Ham Ham in the final round of 2nd division matches at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
He revealed that his team deserved promotion to the first division because of their determination and hard work during the just concluded second division games. And further expressed optimism that his team will prepare well for the league and in that will invite new players in order to strengthen the squad ahead of the challenges that lie in the first divisional championship.
The elated coach who finished second to Ports Authority by better goal margin went further to reveal that he has a team that can pose a threat to many teams in the first division. In light of this elevation to first division, Coach Manneh blissfully thanked the management of the club for providing him with the necessary materials that had contributed to their success in the lower league.
According to coach Manneh, Ham Ham is not a bad team in the GFA second division league and therefore they have a lot of young players that put pressure to many defence lines in the second division.
He finally applauded his fans for their wonderful support during the league and he assured them that he and his technical team would do their best to make sure the team maintain a permanent place in the top flight.
