Profile: Madikay Njie

Madikay Njie is a promising mid-field player with great skills and potentials that lands himself with second division side Kaira Silo.

Madikay Njie started playing football in the streets of New Jeshwang, like any other football player at a tender age.

He had his first taste of playing organised football at the Paki Jola in Ebo-town where his talents were seen and earned the invitation of New Jeshwang United in 2004.

After successfully appearing for the Jeshwang outfit for three years in the Nawettan, Madikay was called to join second Division side Kaira Silo in 2007/8 season and was rated the best player for Kaira Silo that season.

He had a good Nawettan tournament in 2008 and was key player in the 2008 Serrekunda West zonal team.

He is aspiring to play for any of the national teams and turns a professional player with Barcelona FC in Spain.
