Press Release: IEC to conduct By-election in Sare Ngai Ward

Following the notification from the Basse Area Council of the demise of the erstwhile Councilor for Sare Ngai Ward Mr Ebrima Menke Barrow, the Independent Electoral Commission will conduct a by-election to fill the said vacant seat in the said Area Council on Thursday 28th April, 2016.

This is in accordance with section 23 of the Local Government Act 2002; with respect to Section 19 subsection (1) (a) of the same Act.
