Jammeh made the condemnation during an interview with waiting reporters at Banjul International Airport on Saturday, shortly after his arrival from attending the 69th UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
President Jammeh, whose speech centred on the need for a peaceful and brighter future and on a range of global issues said, “there is no way we can have a peaceful and brighter future, as long as powerful countries are “bullying weaker countries, creating unnecessary tension just because they want to sell their weapons and bullypeople and intimidate them.”
He said whenever there is crisis, poor countries like The Gambia and others that are developing find it very difficult to afford fuel or energy, and there would be no development without energy.
Therefore, the unnecessary and inhuman brutal bullying of other countries should stop, he said.
