Ebrima Trawally, a police officer posted to Bakoteh Police Station, recently testified before Magistrate Landing Sanneh of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court in the assault and resist arrest case involving one Ebrima Touray of SerreKunda London Corner.

Officer Trawally told the court that on 28 July 2012, he and his colleagues were assigned to go and effect an arrest on the accused, Ebrima Touray.

He explained that upon their arrival at the residence of the accused, they found him sitting in his house, and they introduced themselves to him to effect an arrest on him.

Officer Trawally further explained that the accused was armed, but they did not know he was armed, and he eventually stabbed one of the officers with a screw driver.

Designated as the fourth prosecution witness (PW4), Trawally added that the accused then produced a cutlass and chased them away, as a result they went back to the station and reported the matter.

An arrangement was later made for the Bulldozer officers to arrest him and he was eventually arrested by the officers of Operation Bulldozers.

The case continues.
