A total number of six thousand, nine hundred and twenty-five (6925) National Driving Licences and 27 International Driving Licences have been printed on high biometric cards, a statement from the Gambia Police Force said yesterday.
This, the statement added, covers between 5th January 2009 to date.
According to the statement, no one will be prosecuted as of now for not having biometric driving licence until further notice.
The Gambis project, the statement further stated, commended the public for their understanding, and urged all drivers to support the safety of the roads through disciplined and circumspect driving.
