Bojang recently filed a civil suit against one Musa Colley, before Principal
Magistrate Ibrahim Kijera of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court, claiming D21,000,
in respect of the money he gave to the defendant on credit basis.
When the claim was read to the defendant in the language he claimed to understand, the defendant admitted liability.
“I accept that he has given me the amount he is claiming,” the defendant said.
The court at that juncture, entered judgment in favour of the plaintiff based on the grounds that the defendant, Musa Colley, had admitted liability.
The defendant then asked for some time as he had some amount with him in the court with which he was going to pay.
The court then asked the plaintiff whether the period of time requested by the defendant to pay the rest was favourable to him.
The plaintiff agreed to the request made by the defendant for him to be given some time to pay the rest of the money in total of D22,100.
