As part of their contribution towards the development of good health care delivery system in the country, Dresden Banjul Organisation recently donated an ambulance to Pirang Health Post in Kombo East District in the Western Region.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the Chairman of Pirang Village Development Committee, Alasana Bojang, hailed Dresden Banjul Organisation for the largesse, adding that the ambulance would aid in the health care delivery system of Pirang and its satellite areas.
He urged the donors to continue rendering more support to the health post, while assuring them that the donated item would be properly taken care of.
Receiving the donated items on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the Community Health Officer at the Pirang Health Post, Malta Mendy, commended Banjul Dresden Organisation for their timely intervention, noting that in the past, the health post has experienced some difficulties in transporting patients to major health centres.
He added that this new ambulance would greatly aid them in transporting patients to major health centres smoothly without any delay.
For his part, the National Assembly Member for Kombo East, Lamin Bojang, said the donated ambulance would ease the problems of transportation to the health post.
He applauded Dresden Banjul Organisation for their timely support, adding that the ambulance would make things easier for them.
