A man accused of stealing a pedal bicycle was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.
Kebba Maria, a resident of Busumbala, pleaded guilty to the charge, and the case was adjourned to 21 September 2011.
According to the charge sheet, on 11 September 2011 at Busumbala village, the accused person, Kebba Maria, stole a pedal bicycle valued at D1, 200 being the property of one Muhammed Sillah.
The police prosecutor adopted the facts of the case as per the charge sheet, and tendered the pedal bicycle as an exhibit.
In a separate development, one Lamin Fadera was also recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and the case was adjourned to 28 September 2011, for judgment.
The charge sheet read that on 14 September 2011, at Brikama Health Centre, the accused, Lamin Fadera, stole a mobile phone from the handbag of one Sheriffo Touray valued at D1, 800.
The police prosecutor adopted the facts of the case as per the charge sheet.
