Papa Gassama fan club thanks President Jammeh

Papa Bakary Gassama’s fans club has thanked His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia Sheikh Professor Alhagie Dr Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh Babili Mansa for receiving Gambia’s and Africa’s best referee Papa Bakary Gassama at State House and for also donating to Mr Gassama a brand new Chevrolet car as a token of appreciation for his dedication, discipline, determination and hard work.

According to the release sent to this paper, “The twice awarded African Referee of the year mentioned at the Airport during his welcoming ceremony that ‘This Award is dedication to President Jammeh and all the Gambian population, especially those involved in the field of sport’.”

According to Papa Bakary Gassama, the release added, “the President has contributed a lot to his success, thus we the fans’ club are very much happy and elated in this matter”.

The fan’s club also thanked the Minister of Youth and Sport, Alieu K. Jammeh, and Gambia Football Federation President Lamin Kaba Bajo and his team, as well as all those who contributed in one way or the other to Papa Bakery Gassama’s success.
